When I moved away from my hometown of Conroe, Texas, to go to Texas A&M University in College Station, I was dead-set on being a veterinarian. Today, I’m an award-winning writer and editor. Who knew?
Well, my mother would tell you that she always knew I’d be a writer. I wish she had told me that before I took Organic Chemistry. Twice.
These days, the closest I get to being a veterinarian is when I’m tending to my son, Cooper, and my baseball-addict husband, Dave.
